Who is eligible to join Serenity Oaks?Adults 21 and older who are capable of independent living. We welcome individuals transitioning from incarceration, facing housing instability, or simply seeking a fresh start-including veterans, seniors without support, and displaced individuals.

Is Serenity Oaks a halfway house or assisted living facility?No. Serenity Oaks is not a halfway house or assisted living facility. We are an independent living housing program designed for adults who are self-sufficient but need a safe, stable, and supportive place to live.

What does the monthly program fee include?The program fee covers: A fully functional shared kitchen High-speed Wi-Fi Furnished living areas Security cameras and smart locks Utilities A clean, drug and alcohol-free environment

How long can I stay?Participants sign a month-to-month agreement, allowing continued housing as long as program expectations are met.

Are accommodations private or shared?We offer both shared and private room options based on availability and your needs.

Are visitors allowed?Personal visitors are not allowed. Only pre-approved third-party professionals—such as therapists, case managers, or healthcare providers—may visit.

Is there a curfew?Yes, curfew is 11:00 PM. Quiet hours are enforced to maintain a peaceful, respectful living environment.

Are support services available?Yes. While we do not provide in-house case management, we assist with referrals and connections to local case management, housing resources, and community support programs.

What does the screening process involve?Applicants must: Be 21 or older Have verifiable income Provide valid ID Agree to program rules and curfew Pay a non-refundable community fee and the first month’s program fee If being discharged from a hospital or treatment facility, a preliminary assessment is required to determine eligibility for independent living. Note: We do not perform background checks.

Can I bring my own furniture?Unfortunately, no. In order to maintain a comfortable and clutter-free space, all homes are fully furnished. Program participants are limited in what they can bring, and storage space is minimal.

Can I bring my children or pets?Unfortunately, no children or pets are allowed in the homes. While we understand the importance of caring for loved ones, our housing program is designed for adult individuals only.

Are meals Provided?Meals are not provided, but the shared kitchen is fully equipped for you to prepare your own meals. We encourage participants to plan and prepare meals that fit their individual needs and preferences.
